Dr. Randall Price

Overview

The Hidden Caves of the Dead Sea Scrolls is our March focus for the Historical Faith Society. With Dr. Randall Price and his team, we will journey on an exciting archaeological investigation to the location of Qumran, where one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th Century was discovered, the Dead Sea Scrolls.

These scrolls gave the world the oldest copies of the first books of the Bible by over 800 – 1,000 years. Their importance contributed significantly to understanding of the Bible and the Jewish world at the time of Jesus.

Recent archeological evidence points to the potential for more scrolls to be discovered in the collapses caves on the Qumran mountainside. But Dr. Price and his team are in a race against time due to the changing of the political landscape and Bedioun treasure seekers’ looting.

The Historical Faith Society focus event will take you into these caves to see how the archaeological work is being done and see firsthand some of the artifacts that have been discovered.

As a member of the Historical Faith Society, you will be a part of this fantastic project to preserve the Bible’s history. We are pledging financially to help fund the potential discovery of more Dead Sea Scrolls.
