    @dr_fritz Dr. Glen Fritz

    @davidrohl Dr. David Rohl

    and @ anyone on HFS who would like to participate…

    Let’s debate this long-standing problem of biblical geography, the identity of Mount Sinai and the route of the exodus from Egypt! In the 1980s, Professor Emmanuel Anati offered a new candidate for Mount Sinai, Har Karkom in the Central Negev. I am willing to defend this candidate and contend all other theories. If you know of any scholar or enthusiast who prefers one or the other option for the identity of Mount Sinai-Horeb, refer them here to HFS! A large part of the argument for the identity of the mount rests in the biblical details of the exodus journey and the ongoing journey to Kadesh-barnea. The true location for Mount Sinai should resolve the puzzles and contradictions of both text and terrain. Tim Mahoney, Steve Law, and all the Patterns of Evidence staff have put much effort into addressing this controversy, so let’s warm up for their next documentary “The Journey to Mount Sinai” with a thorough discussion of the issues.

    Dr. Glenn Fritz has declined my invitation to debate on HFS the location of Mount Sinai, the exodus route, and related topics (e.g the Red Sea). Is anyone else willing to have a go? It will be fun, promise 🙂
